The Starr offers the most innovative Junior ski design available thanks to Elan’s patented U-Flex technology, which allows kids to fully flex the ski, helping accelerate the learning process.

Providing the right amount of flex in the junior ski range was one of the major challenges we’ve faced in recent years. Our award winning U-Flex technology is the solution. The revolutionary construction of the ski increases the flex of the ski by 25 percent. It is a perfect kid’s ski set in combination with specially designed ski boots made of softer, more flexible plastics. These skis enable easier learning and a quick transition to the edges. The Starr is characterized by a design that especially girls will love, as it was inspired by the top ski from our Delight series, the Delight Supreme.

Shape + Flex

U-Flex technology is a unique construction and profile that allows a junior ski to be 25% more flexible. In combination with the lightweight Synflex core, Full Power Cap construction and Early Rise Rocker profile, U-Flex allows kids to learn to ski on their edges from day 1. This unique and patented technology enables easy learning and a better learning experience.
Early Rise Rocker provides smooth and effortless turns thanks to a moderate amount of rockered tip incorporated into the ski.

Construction + Core

Full Power Cap Construction : An edge to edge reinformced cap construction, distibuting force and stabilty to every inch of the ski without adding extra weight to the ski.
Jrs Junior System is modern, lighweight design, enabling unified flex of a ski., enabling easy learning and fast progression to a higher level. Incorporated locking rails make system extremelly light and deliver extraordinary flex. Size adjusting scales are deepened, therefore well protected, what makes JrS Junior System easy to adjust and longlisting. Due to all attributes, JrS is a perfect match with U-Flex ski design, making skiing as easy as walking.
Fiberglass reinforcement optimizes the flex pattern and enhances torsional rigidity of the ski. The fiberglass is positioned either above or below the ski core and improves a skis structual integrity.
The Synflex Core boasts varying densities of material along the length of the ski for supreme performance levels. It is a lightweight synthetic core featuring an optimal flex distribution.
